The Chao1 and Shannon indices did not demonstrate any significant differences between the responder and non-responder groups before (A, B) and after (D, E) probiotic treatment (P = 0.248, 0.729, 0.291, and 0.429). The permutational multivariate analysis of variance also did not demonstrate any significant differences in beta diversity before and after treatment (P = 0.885 and P = 0.626, respectively) (C, F).
